The Center for Environmental Prediction and the Department of Environmental Sciences invites applicants for the position of Postdoctoral Associate for conducting research on soil properties impacted by different land uses and management strategies. This is a grant-funded, non-tenure-earning position carrying full benefits. Successful candidates must have a Ph.D. in Soil Science or Environmental Sciences, with experience in characterizing the impact of land uses and crop production systems on soil carbon. Knowledge of soil physics and measurement and interpretation of water retention properties and aggregate stability is required. Knowledge of spatial statistics is preferred. Candidates must disseminate research findings through manuscripts and presentations. Salary will be commensurate with experience.
