The Ozias-Akins Biotechnology Lab seeks a creative, motivated, and skilled postdoc to participate in peanut genetics and breeding projects with an emphasis on reducing aflatoxin contamination. The successful candidate will explore genetic mechanisms of resistance to Aspergillus infection and aflatoxin contamination through population development, genotyping, and phenotypic characterization in the laboratory, greenhouse, and field. Validation and translation of candidate gene discoveries through selection or modification will be conducted.
