About The Position

The Department of Modern Languages and Literatures at CSU Fullerton invites applications for its Part-Time Lecturer pool in Portuguese to teach lower-division (100- and 200-level) undergraduate courses in Portuguese. This is a pool of part-time lecturers for the department to draw on as necessary. Qualified applicants will be contacted when positions are available. APPOINTMENTS FROM THE PART-TIME POOL ARE TEMPORARY AND OFTEN MADE JUST PRIOR TO THE START OF THE ACADEMIC TERM. APPLICANTS MUST BE AVAILABLE ON VERY SHORT NOTICE.

Requirements

• Candidates must hold at least a master’s degree in Portuguese or a related field
• Possess native-like fluency in Portuguese
• Demonstrate their ability to interact and work effectively with a wide and culturally diverse range of students, including first-generation college students.
• This position requires the legal right to work in the United States of America.
• California State University, Fullerton cannot sponsor part-time faculty for work visas or permanent residence.
