American Studies - Part-time Lecturer Pool
About The Position
The Department of American Studies at CSU Fullerton invites applications for its Part-Time Lecturer Pool. We are seeking experienced, well-organized, and student-centered individuals to teach in the following subject areas: American Studies 101-Questioning America American Studies 201-Introduction to American Studies American Studies 300-Intro to American Popular Culture American Studies 301-American Experiences American Studies 320-Women in American Society American Studies 324-American Immigration Culture American Studies 332-Science and Modern American American Studies 345-The American Dream American Studies 395-California Culture This is a pool of part-time lecturers for the department to draw on as necessary. Qualified applicants will be contacted when positions are available. APPOINTMENTS FROM THE PART-TIME POOL ARE TEMPORARY AND OFTEN MADE JUST PRIOR TO THE START OF THE ACADEMIC TERM. APPLICANTS MUST BE AVAILABLE ON VERY SHORT NOTICE.
Requirements
- Ph.D., ABD or M.A, in American Studies or related field
Nice To Haves
- Candidates should demonstrate their ability to interact and work effectively with a wide and culturally diverse range of students, including first-generation college students.
- Preference will be given to those with experience in fostering a collaborative, supportive and inclusive environment and those with relevant work experience and those who bring professional capabilities.
