Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related discipline
  • 10+ years of experience in portfolio surveillance, risk monitoring, or financial risk management
  • Strong expertise in credit analysis, counterparty risk, and portfolio monitoring
  • Demonstrated experience producing risk/surveillance reporting for senior management
  • Experience supporting third line or regulatory reviews
  • Proven people leadership experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with high attention to detail and governance discipline

Responsibilities

  • Set strategic direction and maintain oversight of portfolio surveillance across Stable Value and certain Private Markets portfolio(s)
  • Lead annual, periodic, and event‑driven surveillance processes, including LP ratings, portfolio review, and identification of emerging risk indicators.
  • Oversee quarterly and ad‑hoc surveillance reporting, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and executive‑level readiness.
  • Ensure consistent application of credit policies, risk frameworks, and control standards across both businesses.
  • Serve as the senior point of contact with internal audit, risk management, and regulatory stakeholders on surveillance-related matters.
  • Partner with business unit heads and relationship managers to support portfolio growth while maintaining disciplined portfolio surveillance oversight, strong documentation and process transparency.
  • Drive enhancements to surveillance processes and reporting, including transition from offline tools to enterprise platforms (e.g., Mercatus, truView).
  • Provide thoughtful leadership for surveillance analysts, including coaching, performance management, workload planning, and development.
  • Support hiring and team capacity planning to ensure coverage, continuity, and long‑term scalability of the surveillance function.
