About The Position

As a Pool Receptionist, you will ensure that guests have a smooth and welcoming experience from check-in to departure. Your primary responsibilities will include guest check-ins, greeting and assisting guests, managing the point-of-sale (POS) system, and handling communications through phones and emails. You will play an integral role in providing excellent service to enhance the guest experience at the resort pool. ROLE EXPECTATIONS Responsibilities include, but are not limited, to the following: Greet and assist guests upon entering the pool area, answering inquiries and telephone calls. Take and manage cabana reservations, ensuring a seamless experience for guests. Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system to process payments for cabana reservations Manage and respond to email inquiries, ensuring prompt and professional communication. Demonstrate regular and punctual attendance as an integral function of the job. Proactively welcome and thank guests, identifying and taking ownership of service opportunities. Handle cash transactions, cabana reservations, and guest interactions in a reliable and professional manner. Maintain cleanliness, stock levels, and tidiness of pool and recreation areas consistently. Regularly check equipment and tools to ensure proper handling and adherence to safety guidelines. Fulfill any other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Ability to work nights and weekends and holidays as business demands.
  • Excellent public relations skills, excellent interpersonal skills, both in person and over the phone when dealing with management, team members, and guests.
  • Able to count money and conduct sales of merchandise, and basic computer knowledge to handle cabana reservations.
  • At least 16 years of age.
  • Must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state and local regulations.
  • Must be able to work under time constraints and within established deadlines.
  • Must regularly lift and/move up 30 pounds, and must have the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, kneel and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience as a Pool Guest Receptionist or Lifeguard.
  • Experience in a similar resort setting.
