About The Position

The City of Madison, SD is accepting applications for a seasonal Pool Manager position at our Madison Aquatic Center. This is a seasonal position and is responsible for performing various aquatic duties and works with the Assistant Director to ensure proper facility operations at the Madison Aquatic Center. This person is responsible for overseeing pool staff, assisting in scheduling lifeguards/swim lesson instructors; assisting during in-service trainings, keep accurate records; maintain a clean/safe facility, enforcing facility rules and regulations and operating safety equipment. This position will also train staff in cleaning/janitorial work and assist as needed and working to assist any patrons with exceptional customer service. Hours of the seasonal position could vary and would be full time per week with some afternoons, evenings, and weekends for the months of May – mid August. This position could work in hot, humid, and cool weather temperatures, while also exposed to chemicals and perform daily chemical tests. Applicant must be 18 years old, possess a valid SD driver's license, must posses or have the ability to successfully obtain CPR and First Aid certificate, American Red Cross Lifeguard certificate and Water Safety Instructor certificate upon hire. Management experience is preferred but not required. Wage starts at $21.48 and is based on experience. Review of applications will begin immediately and will be accepted positions have been filled.
