We proudly offer three championship golf courses, available for play nearly every day of the year, along with award-winning practice facilities both indoors and outdoors. Our sports and leisure complex boasts impressive state-of-the-art aquatic facilities enjoyed by individuals of all ages, as well as tennis, paddle sports, fitness options, and The Cove, a mini club designed for children. Our elegant manor-style clubhouse features both casual and fine dining options, along with the finest banquet facilities in the area for galas, weddings, and social gatherings. We are looking for a Pool Food Runner/Expediter to join the Fiddler’s Family and share their passion for hospitality with our members, guests, and fellow staff members. Fiddler’s Elbow hosts a wide range of events from comedy shows and concerts to Fourth of July celebrations and New Year’s Eve festivities, our annual FiddleFest Music and Food Festival, Member White-Out Party, golf outings and sporting events. We also host smaller clubs within the Club, such as our beloved Book Club and Cigar Club. Our members host many private events like weddings, social events, and celebrations of life milestones. The Pool Food Runner/Expediter serves as the liaison between the Front of House and the Back of House. This individual will be responsible for ensuring that dishes move from the kitchen to the dining room in a coordinated, efficient, and timely manner. They will examine portion, presentation and garnishing of dishes prior to delivery to guarantee satisfaction. This individual will also be responsible for controlling our Mobile Ordering App and adjusting charges when needed.

Requirements

  • Must be able to communicate and understand the predominant language of our Members and Guests
  • Must be able to work days/nights, weekends and holidays
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must be a team player; possess the ability to collaborate and work well with others
  • Prior service industry experience preferred
  • Ability to reach, bend, stoop and wipe to perform essential job functions
  • Ability to lift and carry large trays weighing up to 30 pounds through a crowded room
  • Ability to use both arms and hands
  • Ability to stand on feet for long periods of time
  • Must be able to work indoor and outdoor environments
  • High School Graduate

  • Prior service industry experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Attend pre-function and/or post-function meetings
  • Ensure the Opening, Closing and Side-Work Procedures are completed
  • Communicate respectfully and professionally to Members, Guests and Colleagues.
  • Follow our technology practices, including use of Prep Printers. Mobile App and the POS system- Club Essentials.
  • Help facilitate smooth communication between the front and back of house to ensure efficient service.
  • Read and understand the order ticket, including the dish name, any special instructions, dietary restrictions, or customization requests (e.g., "no onions," "gluten-free," or "extra sauce")
  • Identify specific details on the order, such as table numbers or priority status (e.g., VIP, large parties).
  • Communicate with chefs and kitchen staff for specific plating requirements for each ticket, especially for Mobile Ordering, To-Go and Dining/Cabana Reservations.
  • Assist in calling orders to line staff in an organized, well-thought-out manner
  • Ensure all orders leaving kitchen meet presentation and Guest standards
  • Know menu items and be able to explain the main ingredients and preparation methods if needed
  • Regularly monitor and replenish service supplies such as paper goods, condiments, printer paper, etc.
  • Understand and use common kitchen terms and phrases such as "fire," "86," "heard," "On the Fly," and "corner" to communicate effectively with other kitchen and service staff.
  • Observe safety procedures during execution of assigned duties
  • Assist in portioning food items into correct serving sizes for efficient and consistent meal service.
  • Know menu items and be able to explain the main ingredients and preparation methods if needed
  • Oversee the distribution of meals to ensure guests receive their orders as requested.
  • Transport and serve food to guests in their cabanas, ensuring prompt and courteous service.
  • Process or adjust transactions using a POS system, ensuring that all items are charged accurately.
  • Follow food safety regulations to ensure that food is prepared, stored, and served in a hygienic manner.
