About The Position
At The Umstead Hotel and Spa, a Forbes Five-Star luxury hotel known for refined hospitality and exceptional culinary experiences, we are seeking an experienced and service-driven Pool Bar Supervisor to lead operations at our seasonal Pool Bar. This role is responsible for delivering an elevated poolside experience that reflects the hotel’s commitment to excellence, artistry, and personalized service. The Pool Bar Supervisor will oversee daily operations, inspire the team, ensure Forbes-level standards, and create a sophisticated yet relaxed atmosphere for hotel guests and members. Luxury Guest Experience: Provide anticipatory, personalized service to hotel guests and spa clientele. Maintain Forbes Five-Star service standards at all times. Engage warmly and professionally with guests to create memorable poolside experiences. Resolve guest concerns discreetly and efficiently. Operations Management: Supervise daily pool bar operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service. Oversee opening and closing procedures. Ensure proper setup, cleanliness, and presentation of the pool bar area. Monitor beverage quality, garnish presentation, and brand standards. Ensure compliance with ABC laws, safety, and sanitation guidelines. Assist with monthly inventory. Send weekly schedule to Pool staff members. Team Leadership: Train, mentor, and supervise bartenders and pool servers. Conduct pre-shift meetings and communicate daily service goals. Uphold grooming and appearance standards consistent with luxury hospitality. Foster a positive, professional, and collaborative team culture.
