Our Policyholder Services Representatives have direct contact with our policyholders and are regarded as trusted partners, providing timely resolution to all inquiries, while consistently delivering superior customer service. POSITION SUMMARY: The Policyholder Services Representative will handle external and internal client inquiries regarding OMSNIC policies and preferred stock.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Two to three years related experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word (including mail merge), Excel and the Internet
  • Proficient in, or ability to learn, PAC, OMStock, and ImageRight
  • Type 50 or more words per minute
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (includes writing business letters)
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to patiently respond to the most challenging client
  • Solid listening skills and a professional, courteous manner
  • Effectively manages and organizes all activities to resolve issues on the day received
  • Follows instructions independently, responds quickly to requests and works well under pressure
  • Creative problem solver; also knows when to elevate issue to the manager
  • Contributing team member to achieve organizational and departmental objectives
  • Maintains positive attitude towards assignments and easily adapts priorities to meet company needs
  • Maintains good working relationship with all employees including co-workers, managers and executives

Responsibilities

  • Warmly and sincerely receive incoming policyholder inquiries
  • Document and research all requests
  • Communicate and coordinate with the Underwriting Department to update policyholder status and initiate any changes
  • Follow-up with all parties as needed to provide timely, accurate resolution
  • Strive to resolve all requests on the day received
  • Warmly and sincerely receive incoming agent inquiries
  • Document and research all requests
  • Coordinate with the Underwriting Department to update policyholder status and initiate any changes
  • Liaison between the agent and Underwriting Department to ensure everyone has the most current policyholder information
  • Follow-up with all parties as needed to provide timely, accurate resolution
  • Strive to resolve all requests on the day received
  • Provide timely, accurate responses to all internal and external requests
  • Accurately use systems to obtain policyholder information and document policyholder communication
  • Processes endorsement requests, credentialing letters and loss runs within established timeframes.
  • Manages daily reports and incoming mail through department queues.
  • Other duties as assigned
