About The Position

This position will be responsible for client relations, service, and administrative activities of new and existing Employee Benefit Group House and Individual Policies of The Buckner Company.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Three to five years of Employee Benefits or Human Resources Benefits experience
  • Life, Accident & Health License required
  • Knowledge of and familiarity with Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, Long Term Disability (LTD), Short Term Disability (STD).
  • Knowledge of and familiarity with PPACA current and proposed regulations0
  • Knowledge of and familiarity of the FFM, including understanding when APTCs will be available.
  • Proficient in a variety of computer software applications used by the agency, including MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint; EPIC; as well as the Federally Facilitated Marketplace and Carrier Web Sites.
  • Ability to establish and develop strong relationships with clients, carriers, trusted business partners and coworkers.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work well with details.

Responsibilities

  • Manages day-to-day service for House Accounts and Individual clients including customer claims, billing, eligibility, and service issues. Properly sets expectations for issue resolution, monitors progress and communicates outcomes.
  • Updates Epic in a timely manner including updates to on-going activity. Maintain account file, including incoming and outgoing e-mail correspondence.
  • Oversees installation of the group/individual policy or renewal.
  • Assists in workflow review and improvement initiatives. Automate the annual renewal process. Develop a service plan tailored to client needs. Proactively manage client inquiries.
  • Assists in completion and processing of applications.
  • Schedules, prepares, and conducts open enrollment meetings as needed.
  • Collects forms/data/schedules for regulatory compliance.
  • Guides client in annual compliance requirements and assists in completion.
  • Finalizes enrollment with carrier.
  • Reports results to Director of Client Services.
  • Follows agency policies and procedures including but not limited to client files, HIPAA compliance, and delinquent premium notices.
  • Participates in special projects/teams. Identifies areas to assist team members.
  • Analyze Employee Benefit products and recommend benefit solutions for clients.
  • Meet with carriers and review product portfolio. Act as liaison for the client/carrier relationship.
  • Meet annually with individual policy holders to discuss plan changes and/or different benefit options available.
  • Maintain Federal Marketplace Certification to assist individuals in the marketplace.
  • Perform in a manner that will prevent errors and omissions.
  • Assist in expanding existing accounts by rounding out and cross-selling additional insurance products.
  • Pursue a program for personal and professional experience (education classes, seminars, workshops) in combination with individual study programs to expand knowledge and skills.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
