The University of Maine Police Department is seeking qualified candidates to fill a full-time position in the Communications Division. Work schedules will vary and will include day, evening, midnight, weekend, overtime, and holiday work. Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to: Employee operates a variety of communication systems for an enhanced 911 Operations Center. Information is often confidential, sensitive, and time-sensitive and must be prioritized. Judgment must be used in answering verbal communications regarding rules and regulations; discretion is often used to determine and interpret an appropriate course of action. Starting hourly rate of $23.50 without CTO certification, or $24.09 - $28.79 with CTO certification and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
