About The Position
The City of Midwest City is accepting applications for Police Officers in the Police Department. Under the direct supervision of a Lieutenant, the incumbent performs day to day enforcement of municipal, state and federal laws (including making arrests, working accidents, testifying in court, preliminary investigations, traffic regulations, etc.) in a designated area on an assigned shift. In accordance with any existing labor contract and/or the City Merit System, must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Requirements
- Must submit a completed City of Midwest City employment application to be considered.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be 21 years of age.
- Must possess and maintain C.L.E.E.T. certification.
- Must possess a valid Oklahoma driver license and be insurable.
- Must meet medical requirements set forth by the Oklahoma Police Pension & Retirement System.
- This position is designated as safety/security sensitive and is subject to pre-employment, reasonable suspicion and random drug and alcohol screening.
