The purpose of the Police Officer position is to provide initial necessary police services to the community through the use of uniformed patrol as well as occasionally provide specialized technical support in the areas of field investigation, training, and firearms. We offer a competitive salary starting at $75,295. Candidates with experience cold start at a higher salary step. Clayton officers reach a top pay of $93,458 at step 7 .
