Manages service calls and emergency police response in an accurate and efficient manner. Maintains activity log and other emergency response notification systems. Operates the Texas Law Enforcement Telecommunications System in accordance with the Texas Crime Information Center (TCIC) and the National Crime Information Center (NCIC) console; a computer aided mobile dispatch system, and 700/800 interoperable radio console. Provides excellent communication skills with both internal and external members of the university community. This is a 12 month probationary position. Answers all incoming general and emergency telephone calls for assistance and information and exercises good judgment in providing for the safety and welfare of students, employees, visitors and Trinity University property. Documents all information into the dispatch computer daily activity log and file all updated information into related binders including BOLO's, CTW's etc. Monitors door alarms, fire alarms and video surveillance systems and activates emergency notification systems to include text, email, external speakers, etc. Analyzes situations, gathers information quickly and accurately, and dispatches patrol officers promptly. Communicates with other police, fire and ambulance agencies. Operates the Texas Law Enforcement Telecommunications System in accordance with the Texas Crime Information Center (TCIC) and National Crime Information Center (NCIC) policies and procedures. Performs clerical duties, detailed record keeping, and maintains activity log and other emergency response notification systems. ADDITIONAL DUTIES Cooperates and collaborates with other employees in the spirit of teamwork and collegiality and interacts with confidence, patience and integrity to provide professional leadership during emergencies. Complies with all Trinity University policies and guidelines. Performs other duties as required.
