About The Position
The Poker Host promotes excellent guest relations and ensures high levels of customer service to provide a fun and inviting atmosphere.
Requirements
- 3-5 years in poker room operations.
- Familiarity with poker room concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
- Ability to work independently and continuously seek improvement.
- Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Must apply and obtain the appropriate state occupational gaming license, which includes a lifetime FBI criminal background check.
- Must pass drug testing as per the company's Drug Free Workplace Policy and applicable background checks.
Nice To Haves
- High School Diploma preferred.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
Responsibilities
- Enhance the guest experience through friendly and attentive service, i.e. greeting guests, interacting with guests in a courteous and friendly manner, and being approachable.
- Provide guest services duties, i.e. calling service to the tables to ensure food and beverage needs are met, change TV channels upon guest requests, etc.
- Organize seating of players, maintain the waiting list and run chips for players.
- Oversee the operation of assigned tables and dealer rotations.
- Verify initial day's chip inventory; ensure timely fills/credits.
- Close out the Poker Bank and reconciling paperwork.
- Monitor patrons' playtime and assist in resolving guest disputes.
- Assist in keeping the Poker Room and work areas neat and orderly.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and gaming regulatory requirements.
- Safeguard casino assets and confidential information.
- Report suspicious activities to Surveillance and the Poker Room Manager.
- Runs tournaments as needed.
- Maintain professional conduct and appearance.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
