The PointersWay for Success Coordinator provides subject matter expertise in the development and execution of programs within the scope of student learning and development. This role organizes the facilitation and development of curriculum design for ongoing and new educational initiatives, striving to create a welcoming, equitable, and inclusive work environment. The Coordinator serves with the Office of Student Experience and Transformation at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point (UWSP) for the PointersWay for Success program. PointersWay for Success is an invitation-only program for incoming students who demonstrate potential and a commitment to earning their degree, selected through a holistic review by the UWSP Admissions team. The Coordinator will support the student's overall experience during their first three semesters at UWSP, which includes coordinating the summer bridge week, meeting with students for early check-ins, planning academic year programs, hiring/staffing student help, and potentially teaching first-year seminar or related courses. The program's goal is to increase student participants’ persistence rate, maintain good academic standing, and increase graduation rates. This is a two-year project initiative funded position from May 2026 to June 30, 2028, and is an academic staff appointment reviewed annually, contingent on continued funding.
