About The Position

Las Vegas Petroleum is looking for a creative and detail-oriented Podcast Editor to join our content production team. In this role, you will be responsible for editing and producing high-quality podcast episodes that highlight our brand, engage our audience, and convey our message effectively. Position Overview:
As a Podcast Editor, you will work closely with our content creators to transform raw audio recordings into polished and professional podcast episodes. Your expertise will help enhance the listening experience, ensuring clarity in audio quality and flow of content.

Requirements

• Proven experience in audio editing with a solid portfolio of previous podcast or audio work.
• Proficiency in audio editing software such as Adobe Audition, Audacity, or similar tools.
• Strong understanding of audio production processes, including recording, editing, and post-production workflows.
• Ability to craft a cohesive narrative and enhance the listening experience through skilled editing techniques.
• Excellent communication skills for collaborating with content creators and understanding their vision.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple podcast episodes and deadlines.
• A creative mindset and a passion for storytelling through audio media.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with podcast distribution platforms and audio formats is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Edit recorded podcast episodes for clarity, pacing, and engagement, including removing unnecessary content and enhancing audio quality.
• Add music, sound effects, and other audio elements to enhance the overall production quality.
• Collaborate with hosts and producers to understand their vision and content goals for each episode.
• Ensure that all audio files are properly organized and archived for easy access.
• Review and incorporate feedback from team members to refine podcast episodes before release.
• Stay informed about industry trends and podcasting best practices to continuously improve our production process.
• Assist in the planning and execution of podcast recording sessions as needed.
