About The Position

The PMO Business Analyst Lead supports enterprise project and portfolio management by partnering with business leaders, project managers, and technology teams to ensure initiatives are well-defined, prioritized, and aligned with Mosaic Health’s strategic, clinical, and operational goals. In addition to project-level analysis, this role contributes to portfolio-level planning and decision support, including budget tracking, resource capacity analysis, and prioritization support. The PMO Business Analyst Lead helps improve visibility into demand, capacity, and value across the portfolio to support informed leadership decision-making.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Information Systems, Finance, or related field, or equivalent experience
  • 3–5 years of experience in a Business Analyst, Project Analyst, or PMO support role
  • Experience supporting project and/or portfolio management activities
  • Strong analytical, documentation, and stakeholder facilitation skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, regulated environment

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in a PMO or enterprise portfolio management environment
  • Healthcare industry experience (provider, payer, or managed services preferred)
  • Experience with financial analysis, budgeting, or resource planning for projects
  • Familiarity with Agile, hybrid, and waterfall delivery methodologies
  • Experience with tools such as Smartsheet, MS Project, Jira, or similar PPM platforms
  • CBAP, CCBA, PMI-PBA, PMP, or similar certification (preferred, not required)

Responsibilities

  • Support the PMO intake and prioritization process by helping define project scope, objectives, success criteria, and business case justification
  • Partner with requestors to clearly articulate the “why,” expected outcomes, benefits, and risks of proposed initiatives
  • Facilitate discovery sessions and working meetings with business, clinical, and operational stakeholders
  • Develop clear problem statements, current-state and future-state workflows, and impact assessments
  • Elicit, analyze, and document business, functional, and non-functional requirements
  • Create and maintain requirements documentation, process flows, user stories, acceptance criteria, and assumptions
  • Ensure requirements are traceable, prioritized, and aligned with approved scope and objectives
  • Support change control by assessing the business, timeline, budget, and resource impacts of scope changes
  • Support portfolio-level analysis to help leadership understand demand, capacity, and prioritization tradeoffs
  • Assist with project budget tracking, forecast updates, and variance analysis
  • Support resource planning by analyzing capacity, allocation, and utilization across projects
  • Identify resource constraints, competing priorities, and delivery risks at the portfolio level
  • Contribute to portfolio dashboards, reporting, and executive summaries
  • Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders, project managers, and delivery teams
  • Support PMs with milestone readiness, risk identification, dependency tracking, and issue analysis
  • Assist with stakeholder communication and expectation management
  • Participate in project and portfolio governance meetings as needed
  • Support standardization and continuous improvement of PMO processes, tools, and templates
  • Assist with portfolio reporting, KPIs, and performance metrics
  • Identify opportunities to improve intake, prioritization, and delivery effectiveness
  • Contribute to the ongoing maturity of PMO governance and operating practices
