About The Position

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled PM&R Physician to join our interdisciplinary medical team. This role focuses on diagnosing, treating, and managing patients with physical impairments or disabilities resulting from injury, illness, or chronic conditions, with an emphasis on restoring function, improving mobility, and enhancing overall quality of life. PM&R physicians take a whole -person approach, addressing the full scope of each patient’s functional needs.

Requirements

• Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
• Board -certified or board -eligible in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation.
• Active and unrestricted medical license in MI
• DEA license
• Fellowship training in pain medicine, sports medicine, spinal cord injury, brain injury, or musculoskeletal medicine is a plus.

Nice To Haves

• Proficiency in diagnostic procedures such as EMG/NCS.
• Experience in inpatient rehab, outpatient clinics, or interventional procedures.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Commitment to evidence -based, compassionate care.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with musculoskeletal, neurologic, and functional impairments.
• Develop and implement comprehensive, patient -centered rehabilitation plans.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including physical therapists, and other specialists.
• Perform and interpret procedures such as EMGs, joint injections, ultrasound -guided injections.
• Manage both acute and chronic pain using non -surgical approaches.
• Monitor progress and adjust treatment plans based on patient response and goals.
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatment plans, and rehabilitation goals.
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
• Participate in team meetings, case reviews, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Optionally supervise advanced practice providers.
