About The Position

Hugg & Hall Equipment Company is looking for someone with mechanical knowledge and customer service skills to join our team as a Preventative Maintenance Tech in the field. ABOUT THE POSITION PM Field Service Mechanics perform routine maintenance on various types of customer and company-owned material handling equipment within a designated territory. In this role, you will: Perform preventative maintenance tasks on various types of construction equipment in the field to prolong its lifespan. Continuously communicate in a courteous and effective manner with customers and co-workers including Salespeople, Coordinators, and Managers regarding job progress and general updates Maintain a safe working environment and observe all safety laws, policies and rules, both on-site and during the operation of company vehicles Strong mechanical aptitude, strong customer service skills, a professional demeanor, and a safety-first mentality are all key.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 6 months to 1-year hands-on experience as a service technician/mechanic in the material handling equipment industry, or mechanical training/education, or experience in a related industry
  • Have your own complete line of tools including specialized tools needed to complete the job at the customer site
  • Basic computer skills
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Minimum 21 years of age
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Nice To Haves

  • Technical aptitude/experience in hydraulic, electrical, or mechanical systems.
  • Familiarity with equipment operation
  • Familiarity with diagnostic tools and equipment
  • Ability to read or be trained in reading schematics
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
