About The Position

Black Tie Plumbing is seeking an experienced and driven Service Manager to lead and grow our plumbing repair and service operations. This role is responsible for overseeing daily field operations, managing technicians, driving revenue performance, and ensuring exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with a proven background in plumbing service, team development, and sales performance, with experience working with tankless water heaters and boiler systems preferred. Key Responsibilities Oversee daily operations of the plumbing service department, including scheduling, dispatch, and job completion Manage, coach, and develop plumbing technicians to improve performance, efficiency, and sales Drive revenue growth by monitoring KPIs, closing ratios, and average ticket performance Work closely with inside sales and dispatch teams to optimize booking and routing Review estimates and support technicians in selling jobs in the field Ensure all work meets company standards, safety regulations, and customer expectations Handle escalated customer concerns and ensure resolution in a timely manner Recruit, hire, and train new service technicians Conduct ride-alongs, performance reviews, and ongoing coaching Utilize CRM systems (Salesforce preferred) to track performance and opportunities Implement process improvements to increase efficiency and profitability

Requirements

  • 5+ years of plumbing service experience (residential and/or commercial)
  • 2+ years of leadership or management experience
  • Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, repairs, and service operations
  • Proven ability to lead a team and drive sales performance
  • Experience with CRM systems (Salesforce preferred)
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of tankless water heater systems and boiler systems preferred
