Job Description We are looking for a PLM Business Analyst to help connect our engineering teams with our technical development staff. In this role, you will work with users to understand how they use Teamcenter, document their requirements, and help turn those needs into functional system updates. You will also be responsible for creating clear "how-to" guides and testing new features to ensure they work correctly for our engineering and manufacturing teams.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience as a Business Analyst or PLM Analyst, ideally in a manufacturing or aerospace setting.
  • Practical experience using Siemens Teamcenter, specifically with Document Management, Workflows, or Change Management.
  • Understanding of how Engineering and Manufacturing Bills of Materials (BOMs) function within a PLM system.
  • Ability to write clear technical documentation and instructions for non-technical users.
  • Comfortable asking questions in workshops and presenting updates to small teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, IT, Business, or a related field.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with aerospace standards (like FAA or AS9100).
  • Experience using Jira or Confluence for project tracking and documentation.
  • Exposure to ERP systems or CAD tools (like NX or CATIA).
  • Basic understanding of Agile or Scrum methodologies.

Responsibilities

  • Meet with employees and process owners to document current workflows and identify areas where Teamcenter can be improved.
  • Help translate business needs into functional requirements for the development team.
  • Create process flow diagrams and user stories to visualize how data should move through the system.
  • Assist in the analysis of Engineering (EBOM) and Manufacturing (MBOM) structures.
  • Write clear, step-by-step user guides and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Maintain a backlog of system requests and help prioritize them based on team needs.
  • Serve as a point of contact for users, helping to explain technical changes in plain language.
  • Ensure all documentation is kept up to date and version-controlled.
  • Help create test plans and individual test cases based on user requirements.
  • Perform User Acceptance Testing (UAT) in development and staging environments before updates go live.
  • Track bugs or issues found during testing and work with developers to get them resolved.
  • Assist in coordinating testing sessions with end-users to get their feedback and sign-off.
