We are looking for a PLC/HMI Programmer to support our Altronex brand. This role will work on-site in our Madison, WI location. Our Altronex brand is a leading provider of control solutions for the municipal water and wastewater industries, providing custom-engineered control panels, SCADA and telemetry systems, control panel fabrication, systems integration, and field services support. The job: As our PLC/HMI Programmer , your primary role will be to develop PLC code and HMI graphics for our control systems which control the movement of water and wastewater. Projects will range from working on new panels and MCC’s as they are being manufactured in-house, to doing custom modifications for control systems that are currently in operation. You will utilize Microsoft Excel to organize programming functions, and your work will be mostly independent, but in a team setting that provides support and collaboration when needed. You will be expected to work on-site as this is not a hybrid or remote position.

Requirements

  • Have experience programming Allen Bradley PLC’s and HMI’s
  • Be comfortable with CompactLogix, MicroLogix and some ControlLogix
  • Have experience with PanelView, Maple, Auotmation Direct and Wonderware HMI Programs
  • Be a self-starter
  • Possess excellent time management and communication skills
  • A 2-year degree in Automation Technology or equivalent degree and 5+ years of experience are preferred

Responsibilities

  • Develop PLC code and HMI graphics for our control systems which control the movement of water and wastewater.

  • Work independently, but in a team setting that provides support and collaboration when needed.
