About The Position

The part-time player development coach is responsible for delivering energetic and impactful coaching sessions to players across the New England region in a professional environment. Sessions cater to development to elite level players, aged 5-17 years old. Coaches are assigned to various programs based on their experience, licenses, and geographic location. This role is suitable for both developing coaches seeking growth and experienced coaches looking to join a team. Coaches are required to participate in paid staff training events and workshops throughout the year and will receive an adidas uniform package and coaching equipment. This position is not for the New England Revolution MLS Next youth teams.

Requirements

USSF Grassroots In-Person coaching license
Soccer coaching experience with players in the 5-17 age range
Strong organizational skills
Ability to lead sessions
Excellent time keeping and planning
Problem solving skills
Effective and timely communication skills
High School Diploma or Equivalent

Nice To Haves

USSF D License preferred

Responsibilities

Train and coach various levels of players, ranging from recreational, in-town, and travel sessions
Train and coach in different programs and locations throughout New England
Conduct coach education sessions for volunteer coaches
Plan and run sessions taken from Revolution Academy curriculum and support materials
Communicate to players, volunteer coaches, parents, and other members of the youth soccer communities
Must arrive at sessions a minimum of 15 minutes prior to the start time
Must be available for a minimum of 3 sessions per week (during Spring and Fall seasons)
Weeknight sessions will run between 4pm and 8pm and weekend sessions will run between 8am and 2pm
Sessions will be based on location and availability and may differ from the above times
Special projects and assignments as business dictates
