As the Plasma Table Programmer/Operator, your primary responsibility is to accurately program and operate the laser and plasma machines. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Certificate for a two year technical program in machine tool
  • Knowledge of CNC/NC programming and understanding of geometric tolerances
  • Ability to lift 75 lbs
  • Ability to stand for 8 hours plus per day
  • Or any combination of education and experience that would provide the required skill and knowledge for successful performance

Responsibilities

  • Create programs and CAD drawings for laser and plasma machines
  • Program laser and plasma machines
  • Operate and maintain laser and plasma machines
  • Communicate accurate machining sequences with manufacturing personnel
  • Ensure that quality control processes are followed during the various stages of machining
  • Ability to accurately read and interpret blueprints to ensure products are machined correctly
  • Ability to understand and willingness to follow existing QC processes
  • Maintain accurate equipment maintenance and repair logs
  • Provide input into machining and QC process improvements
