About The Position

Ag Processing Inc (AGP) is seeking a Shift Supervisor for its soy processing facility in Hastings, NE. This role involves providing management support for day-to-day operations, assisting with employee training, enforcing company policies and procedures, and ensuring quality standards are met.

Requirements

Experience in supervising employees through training and motivating
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience using computers and other office equipment
Capable of sound decision making
Great team player and takes initiative
Mechanically savvy
Safety conscientious
Highly organized and strong attention to detail
Capable of working with diverse group of individuals
Able to communicate with customers, co-workers, and various business contacts in a professional and courteous manner
Willing to work day, night and every other weekend on rotating 12 hour shift
Minimum of a high school education or equivalent is required

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of hazard communication standards and PSM, preferred
Supervisory Experience is preferred but will train the right candidate
Technical degree is preferred

Responsibilities

Provide management support through supervising the plant workers' activities including training employees, determining methods for employee work, and scheduling
Monitor and maintain processing supply inventory through completing orders of supplies and documenting amount of supplies on hand
Enforce company policies and procedures
Develop and manage projects as assigned
Attend company meetings
Perform other duties as assigned by management
