About The Position

Ag Processing Inc (AGP) is seeking a Shift Supervisor for their soy processing facility in Hastings, NE. This role involves assisting with day-to-day operations by providing management support throughout the plant, including training employees, enforcing company policies and procedures, and ensuring quality standards are met. AGP is a cooperative that processes, sells, and transports soybeans, grains, and related products, and is one of the largest soybean processing cooperatives globally. The company operates 10 soybean plants, four soybean oil refineries, and three biodiesel production facilities across multiple states, serving approximately 200,000 farmers.

Requirements

  • Experience in supervising employees through training and motivating
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience using computers and other office equipment
  • Capable of sound decision making
  • Great team player and takes initiative
  • Mechanically savvy
  • Safety conscientious
  • Highly organized and strong attention to detail
  • Capable of working with diverse group of individuals
  • Able to communicate with customers, co-workers, and various business contacts in a professional and courteous manner
  • Minimum of a high school education or equivalent is required

Responsibilities

  • Provide management support through supervising the plant workers' activities including training employees, determining methods for employee work, and scheduling
  • Monitor and maintain processing supply inventory through completing orders of supplies and documenting amount of supplies on hand
  • Enforce company policies and procedures
  • Develop and manage projects as assigned
  • Attend company meetings
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management
