POSITION SUMMARY: The Plant Scheduler will create plant schedules to ensure customers are satisfied with exceptional product service levels, as well as driving costs down by designing efficient plans that maximize Plant Operations resources. This position will also help meet all business objectives resulting in increased Shareholder Value.

Requirements

  • High School graduate, Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • 5 years’ experience in manufacturing, Supply Chain strongly preferred
  • Strong computer skills including the ability to prepare spreadsheets and use Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Power Point and/or Access) to analyze data and trends. Ideally have had recent exposure to a modern enterprise system similar to SAP, JD Edwards, etc preferred.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills, with the ability to balance production and maintenance needs
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • The ability to work well within a team to satisfy sales as well as plant operations
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and listening ability
  • A strong ability to be adaptable and flexible
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills
  • Highly self-motivated, results oriented, driven

Responsibilities

  • Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
  • Create the daily plant production schedule using the Working Plan.
  • Work with Materials and Purchasing to verify components are available to produce as needed.
  • Communicate with production and be attentive to their needs.
  • Familiarity with allergens and changeover requirements
  • Prioritize lines based on available labor.
  • Create and update work orders in JD Edwards.
  • Use Plant MRP in JD Edwards to investigate material availability.
  • Work with offsite PL’s to assist in managing accurate FG inventory.
  • Contribute to the efficiency and safety of the plant with well-designed schedules.
  • Provide purchasing with 6 weeks of work orders to help guide PO submissions.
