About The Position

Responsible for overall safety compliance and enforcement of federal, local, and Company procedures, policies and regulations. Lead the safety and compliance function to ensure prevention of injury, illness, and property damage. Manage medical and worker's compensation related activities. Investigate and report accidents, near misses, first aid, recordables and lost time injuries. Conduct periodic safety inspections throughout the facility. Administer safety programs (i.e., Lock out/Tag Out, Confined Space/Ergonomic programs, Hot Work/Industrial Hygiene, etc.) All other relevant duties to the job.

Requirements

• 5+ years' experience in safety management within an industrial environment
• Technical knowledge of OSHA laws, policies and regulations
• Working knowledge of ammonia refrigeration and electrical systems
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills
• Proficient technology and computer skills, including MS Office based programs

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor Degree in an environmental or health related science preferred
• CSP (Certification as Safety Professional) preferred
