ID Technology has a great opportunity for a Plant Manager in Inver Grove Heights, MN. As a Plant Manager you will play a pivotal role in driving operational excellence across the facility. You will oversee and coordinate all aspects of operational activities, including safety, quality, delivery, efficiency, and costs. Your responsibilities will include coaching, developing, and training the operations team, ensuring customer satisfaction, meeting capacity expansion targets, and managing cost budgets.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of experience in a production setting, with demonstrated success leading teams and delivering results.
  • Ability to effectively communicate technical, financial, and operational information to all audiences.
  • Ability to analyze financial and operational reports.
  • Has successfully managed manufacturing operations and led large teams.
  • Track record of multi-level management experience.
  • Track record of increasing responsibility.
  • Track record of improvements to P/L and KPIs.
  • Proven ability to implement strong controls and process standards.
  • Track record of cycle time reduction and quality improvement, with a good understanding of continuous improvement processes.
  • Experience managing workflows from raw material inventory through to staging, production, and shipping.
  • High mechanical aptitude.
  • Adaptability to changing priorities

Responsibilities

  • Lead our Minneapolis / St. Paul plant in the pursuit of operational excellence.
  • Achieve maximum productivity and efficiency.
  • Oversee the PM/CS, Production, Quality, Purchasing, Shipping/Receiving, Inventory, Health/Safety, Graphic, and Facility Management functions.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop supervisors, press operators, and support staff.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous learning.
  • Oversee hiring, training, performance evaluations, and workforce planning.
  • Maintain strong relationships with key customers and resolve escalated issues.
  • Collaborate with customers (internal/external) and various stakeholders to increase our revenue and profitability.
  • Partner with the Sales/Estimating teams to evaluate new business opportunities and production feasibility.
  • Manage operational requirements and resources across the plant: Lead Time and On-Time Performance Departmental Workflows Demand Planning & Resource Scheduling Quality Productivity Employee Hiring, Training, and Skill Development Health, Safety, and Compliance Equipment and Facilities Management Continuous Improvement
  • Utilize the ERP system, data, and reporting tools to optimize the business.
  • Analyze and track metrics to identify and act upon improvement opportunities.
  • Ensure that customer and plant-related issues are resolved effectively.
  • Maintain an accident-free plant and ensure all employees are trained on best practices.
  • Lead the Health and Safety initiatives by working collaboratively with plant personnel, the Director of Environmental, Health & Safety, HR, and the Joint Health and Safety Committee to implement and support Health and Safety policies and programs.
  • Ensure effective preventative maintenance programs are in place.
  • Collaborate with other members of the leadership team to develop strategic plans and capital/operating budgets.
  • Control expenses within budget constraints.
  • Maintain knowledge of new production methods, material options, and related technology.
  • Manage special projects, ancillary requirements, and other related duties as assigned.
  • Other duties as assigned.
