The Plant Manager, reporting to the Director of Operations, is a vital part of the senior leadership team and will direct and coordinate the schedule and activities concerned with the production of company products manufactured in all plants at the Harvey site. Essential functions include, but are not limited to:
Requirements
- BS in STEM related discipline required, preferably Engineering, Supply Chain or Chemistry.
- 5+ years of Plant Manager experience in a batch process facility strongly preferred.
- Proven ability to manage change within a group and build strong interdependent teams.
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to work independently.
- Experience with applicable EPA and OSHA regulations.
- Experience with ISO, TS, IATF and other industry standards.
- Strong computer skills required. Experience with SAP strongly preferred.
- Experience with visual factory environment, housekeeping standards and/or 5s/6s.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations across multiple on‑site production plants either directly or through subordinates. Ensures safe, efficient, and reliable manufacturing processes and operational discipline that focuses on a robust housekeeping program and safety culture.
- Develop and execute operational strategies aligned with company objectives to establish safety, quality, and production standards, including developing budgets and cost controls to ensure optimal service levels of supply.
- Develop, track and report key performance indicators (KPIs), analyze variances, and implement cost‑effective operational improvements to drive Operational Excellence.
- Engage with employees to support a positive company culture that also endorses and supports the business strategy and core values.
- Identify efficiency opportunities and lead cross-functional kaizen events to improve throughput, reduce waste, and enhance reliability.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of operations managers, production supervisors, and support staff across multiple plants.
- Foster a high-performance culture based on accountability, engagement, and teamwork.
