About The Position

The Plant HR Generalist acts as an HR liaison and is responsible for partnering with management, various departments, and team members to ensure human resources deliverables are met. Duties may include overseeing retention, hiring, orientation, employee relations, project management, training & development, and coordination of HR planning initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field required.
  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience in Human Resources required.
  • Knowledge and experience ensuring and supporting HR compliance with local and statutory laws and regulations required.
  • Computer proficiency with software systems including but not limited to Human Resources Management Systems (HRMS), Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook etc.) and/or other web-based applications required.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; Strong interpersonal skills required.
  • Impeccable attention to detail and organizational skills required.

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced degree or certification specific to human resources preferred.
  • Prior experience working with and/or optimizing timekeeping, payroll, Human Capital Management (HCM), or Human Resources compliance systems and processes preferred.
  • Experience with benefits/compensation administration, market pricing, labor law, and organizational development preferred.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provides day-to-day business HR partnership and consultation for assigned functional team.
  • Participates in the implementation and maintenance of HR policies, practices, and procedures by providing professional and technical assistance to leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Assists in driving business solutions through ad hoc reporting and analysis of HR statistics/data which may include turnover, job requisitions, new hires, transfers, promotions, terminations, team member performance, and more.
  • Leads and supports Human Resource programs including but not limited to employment/unemployment, litigation, retention, termination, turnover, and severance.
  • Partners and collaborates on projects/programs with cross-functional HR peers, centers of excellence (COE), and business support functions including Talent Management, Compensation, Payroll, Benefits, Finance, and Legal.
  • Ensures and supports HR compliance with local and statutory laws and regulations.
  • Collaborates with Talent Acquisition and key stakeholders on hiring goals, future talent pipelining, organizational development, and the administrative processing of job requisitions to meet business hiring needs.
  • Provides support and training for team members, supervisors and managers which may include managing team member performance, employee relations, workplace training, and new hire training.
  • Updates and manages team member information/bulletin boards including company policy documents, announcements/events, benefits details, and/or legally required notices.
  • Serves as the HR representative on assigned projects, committees, and community events.
