As a Plant Health Care Technician, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the health and vitality of trees through various treatments and maintenance services. You will diagnose and mitigate common tree diseases and pest infestations, apply fertilizers and treatments, assist with general tree care operations, and more. Primary responsibilities include (but are not limited to): Apply insect and disease control treatments, fertilizers, and other plant health care solutions. Monitor tree health and assess environmental stressors, nutrient deficiencies, and pest infestations. Electronically record treated trees and maintain accurate records of applications. Communicate professionally with homeowners and clients about tree health and care recommendations. Properly set up and maintain work zones to ensure safety for the crew and the public. Load, unload, and transport equipment and materials to job sites. Conduct routine maintenance on tree care equipment to ensure optimal working condition. Participate in team meetings, pre-job briefings, and company training sessions. Adhere to industry best practices, including ANSI Z133 safety standards. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Perform other duties as required or assigned including assisting crew members with tree pruning & trimming, site cleanup and debris removal, dragging brush and chipping, equipment care and maintenance, and more.
