About The Position

SWD Inc. is seeking a full-time Plant Custodian for the 1st shift, Monday-Friday, 7 am-3 pm CT. The role may occasionally include weekends. The starting pay during training is $18.00/hour. SWD Inc. is a recognized leader in Metal Finishing and Fastener Sorting, with over 200 employees operating three shifts in a 250,000 sq. ft. facility in Addison, Illinois. All job offers are contingent on successful completion of a Background Check, Drug Screen, and Pre-Employment Physical. SWD is a Drug-Free workplace. This role uses AI‑assisted tools in parts of the hiring process, as required to be disclosed under Illinois law.

Requirements

• Ability to perform lots of lifting, standing and walking

Nice To Haves

• Prior Janitor or Custodian experience preferred
• Forklift experience a plus

Responsibilities

• Sweeping and cleaning plant floors
• Preparing coil cleaning for Phos and Black Oxide lines
• Cleaning bathrooms and lunchroom
• Emptying trash
• Properly disposing of cleaning chemicals and recyclable materials
• Plant repairs as delegated
