About The Position

Under the direction of the Production Supervisor, the Plant Custodian supports the team by helping maintain the cleanliness, organization, and safety of non-production areas of the facility, including all breakrooms, restrooms, common areas, offices, warehouse spaces, and exterior grounds. This role is essential in maintaining a clean and compliant environment for our food manufacturing operation.

Responsibilities

Maintain common areas, warehouse spaces, and breakrooms in a clean, orderly, and organized condition.
Clean and maintain all breakrooms, including the main breakroom and the warehouse/back breakroom through sweeping, emptying garbage cans, recycling bins, and spraying/wiping all breakroom tables and counter areas.
Clean common areas outdoors of facility including sidewalk area and smoking area, and empty garbage’s and picking up litter daily.
Clean refrigerators and coolers in designated areas.
Sweep and tidy restrooms/locker rooms, hallways, and common areas including emptying garbage’s.
Perform light cleaning tasks including spot cleaning spills and high‑traffic areas as needed.
Maintain steel‑toe shoe cover washing/drying and organization including daily cleaning, air drying, and putting away shoe covers in correct sized bins.
Inform Safety Specialist if shoe covers are in need of replacement due to wear.
Restock consumables such as soap, paper towels, toilet paper, and trash bags as needed.
Provide HR with feedback regarding janitorial performance and special needs as needed.
Keep janitorial closet clean and tidy.
Complete daily and weekly checklists accurately.
Perform additional related tasks as needed such as cleaning up after company events.
Report equipment or facility maintenance issues promptly.
Operates company equipment safely and according to company guidelines
Follows equipment and maintenance guidelines
Follows company policies at all times
