About The Position

The Planning Analyst applies advanced knowledge of operations to develop and maintain schedules in DSO for the Anadarko asset team. This role requires exceptional project management and organizational skills and the ability to lead scheduling and budgeting processes across resource development, operations engineering, land, supply chain, and corporate planning teams. The planning analyst is a strong, effective communicator, and under limited supervision performs routine and complex tasks including management of multiple schedule scenarios, data analytics and visualization, process automation, and custom reporting.

Requirements

  • Advanced project management skills; ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with multi-discipline engineering teams and effectively meet deadlines.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and organizational skills; high degree of organizational awareness and attention to detail.
  • Proven experience in DSO software including thorough understanding of standard tables, custom tables with multiple variables, activity classes and ability to customize for unique operations, dependencies and precedents, custom expression logic, and custom reports.
  • In-depth understanding of well lifecycles & operations.
  • Demonstrates strong initiative and commitment to customer service.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, SQL, and Tibco Spotfire.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of five (5) years oil and gas operations scheduling or related experience.
  • Advanced working knowledge of Actenum DSO software; strong understanding of data structures, table relationships, hierarchies
  • Exceptional communication and organizational skills.
  • Intermediate proficiency in MS Excel.
  • An acceptable pre-employment background and drug test.

Nice To Haves

  • Intermediate proficiency in SQL; experience working in SQL Server Management Studio or Databricks.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel.
  • Experience in Spotfire, Power BI, or other BI tools for data analysis.
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university.

Responsibilities

  • Leverages advanced working knowledge of DSO software and operations logistics to develop and maintain multiple schedule scenarios and provide comparisons.
  • Customizes reports, writes custom expressions/logic, creates and manages dependencies and precedents in DSO.
  • Attends operations meetings and serves as the go-to resource for the asset team.
  • Facilitates and leads regular meetings with asset engineering teams to optimize schedules and ensure timely delivery of monthly forecast and budget deliverables.
  • Retrieves and analyzes data from DSO and various sources for financial and production forecasting; generates executive-quality presentations and data visualizations.
  • Performs complex data verification and cleanup tasks within DSO software and source systems.
  • Supports and helps lead process improvement initiatives across the organization; drives use of DSO to full extent of software capabilities, even beyond company’s current use case.
  • Other duties as assigned.
