About The Position

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Comprehend and perform all duties in accordance with safety rules and regulations and Job Safety Analysis’. Comply with all company rules and regulations Ability to operate forklift in a safe and efficient manner Must be able to look at tags to make sure Grade is correct on units. Make sure that Length, Width, and Thickness is correct on tags. Make sure that each unit of lumber is a shippable product. Confirm that inventory is tagged and stacked correctly Communicate with Shipping Operator for stacking and storage of finished lumber and ensure that lumber is stacked on pile bottoms correctly Keep work area clean at all times – cleanup during and after shift – do not leave until cleanup complete Conduct required pre-operating checks on equipment prior to use Consistently keep a production level work pace Other duties directed by supervisor. EDUCATION AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS: High School diploma or GED Valid driver's license Prior Industrial Forklift experience Ability to adjust work schedule, perform shift work, work overtime as needed Read and understand printed materials and/or means to compensate for such PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS IN ORDER TO PERFORM ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Move safely, quickly, and perform duties with repetitious movement. Sit and/or stand for shift, reach with hands and arms, stoop, squat, twist, push and pull, maintain balance, bend at the waist, kneel, walk varying distances, and climb stairs. Must be able to tolerate all weather elements, loud conditions, vibrations and airborne particles (sawdust).

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Valid driver's license
  • Prior Industrial Forklift experience
  • Ability to adjust work schedule, perform shift work, work overtime as needed
  • Read and understand printed materials and/or means to compensate for such
  • Move safely, quickly, and perform duties with repetitious movement
