About The Position

General Purpose The Pizza Cook is responsible for crafting high-quality pizzas in a fast-paced kitchen environment. This includes preparing dough, managing toppings, operating a wood-fired or traditional pizza oven, and ensuring consistent quality and presentation. This role requires teamwork, attention to detail, and a passion for delivering exceptional food that complements the elevated dining experience. Pizza Preparation & Cooking Prepare and cook pizzas according to established recipes and standards. Ensure pizzas are cooked to perfection with consistent quality and presentation. Operate and maintain the wood-fired or traditional pizza oven, ensuring proper temperatures and techniques. Ingredient Preparation & Station Maintenance Prepare dough, sauces, and toppings, ensuring freshness and proper portioning. Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked workstation throughout the shift. Set up and break down the pizza station before and after service, ensuring readiness for the next shift. Collaboration & Communication Work closely with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow, particularly during high-volume periods. Communicate with servers and managers about special orders or guest feedback. Safety & Cleanliness Adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulations, including proper handling of ingredients. Clean and sanitize work areas, tools, and equipment, including the pizza oven. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2 years of experience in a high volume pizza/ Brick oven establishment.
  • Basic knowledge of pizza preparation techniques and kitchen practices.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in a pizza cook or similar role.
  • Familiarity with wood-fired ovens and pizza-making techniques.
  • ServSafe or equivalent food safety certification.
  • Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
  • Team-oriented with excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
