About The Position
Assists in assigning the daily tasks to the Facilities Services personnel and checks on jobs in all Systems to assure accuracy and completion. The role involves investigating reports of leaks and pipeline ruptures, preparing work orders under general supervision, and supervising a group of nonexempt employees. The Crewleader also acts as Maintenance Services Superintendent in their absence, supervises the repair of water and sewer lines, and purchases equipment parts and supplies. Additional duties may be assigned as required.
Requirements
- Required to obtain a Class C Water Distribution or a Class II Wastewater Collections Certification from TCEQ within 12 months of Hire/Promotion
- Requires a Class “A” CDL.
- Must possess a high school diploma or G.E.D.
- Must develop knowledge of the NTMWD water transmission and wastewater collection systems.
- Must be able to effectively communicate in person, by telephone and/or by radio.
- Must have the knowledge and ability to read and understand Right-of-Way and Easement Drawings.
- Must be able to perform mathematical calculations, scale distances from plans, and measure distances on the ground.
