About The Position

Associated Recreation Council (ARC), in partnership with Seattle Parks and Recreation, is seeking a qualified Pickleball Camp Instructor to lead pickleball camps for children ages 5–12 at Miller. This camp introduces participants to the basic strokes, rules, and strategies of pickleball. A cross between tennis, badminton, and ping pong, pickleball enjoys a large and growing community of players in the Pacific Northwest. Programs are designed for beginning and intermediate players.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Experience instructing or coaching pickleball or similar racket/paddle sports
  • Experience working with children in a recreational or camp setting
  • Ability to manage groups in a positive and supportive manner

Responsibilities

  • Instruct participants ages 5–12 in basic pickleball strokes, rules, and strategies
  • Lead safe, engaging, and age-appropriate camp activities
  • Supervise participants and maintain a positive and inclusive environment
  • Set up and break down equipment and activity areas
  • Communicate effectively with ARC staff and site supervisors
  • Follow ARC and Seattle Parks and Recreation policies and procedures
