About The Position

The Pickleball Instructor plays a key role in delivering fun, safe, and engaging pickleball programs for both children and adults. In this role, you’ll lead instructional lessons, support daily program operations, and create a welcoming environment that keeps participants coming back to the court.

Requirements

  • Experience teaching pickleball to a variety of age groups and skill levels.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with participants, parents, and staff.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining accountability to a supervisor
  • Availability to work assigned schedules, including evenings and weekends as required

Responsibilities

  • Teach pickleball lessons to children and adults at assigned indoor and outdoor locations
  • Plan and deliver age- and skill-appropriate instruction
  • Maintain accurate attendance and lesson records
  • Ensure a safe learning environment by following all Park District safety policies
  • Inspect equipment before and after lessons and report needs or concerns
  • Communicate regularly with the Sports Coordinator regarding programs and participants
  • Promote pickleball programs and assist with other pickleball activities as needed
  • Attend required staff meetings, trainings, and in-service sessions
  • Uphold Park District policies, professionalism, and confidentiality standards
