About The Position

The Picking Specialist is responsible for accurately selecting and staging products to fulfill customer orders in a fast-paced warehouse environment. This entry-level position plays a critical role in maintaining inventory accuracy, meeting shipping deadlines, and supporting overall warehouse efficiency. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable using handheld scanners and performing physical work throughout the shift.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Prior warehouse or order picking experience is a plus but not required.
Ability to operate handheld scanners and read printed/digital pick lists.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently or with a team.
Ability to follow instructions and adapt to changing priorities.
Basic math, reading, and problem-solving skills
Basic computer skills.

Nice To Haves

Prior warehouse or order picking experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

Accurately pick products for customer orders using handheld scanners and pick tickets.
Match item numbers and descriptions to ensure order accuracy.
Place picked items in designated staging areas for packing or shipping.
Operate handheld scanning devices to confirm item selection and update inventory systems.
Inspect items for quality, damage, or discrepancies before selection.
Report inventory discrepancies or stock shortages to the Warehouse Supervisor.
Follow safety protocols and picking procedures at all times.
Assist with restocking and inventory rotation as needed.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
Work collaboratively with warehouse team members to meet daily goals.
Ability to follow instructions and adapt to changing priorities.
All other duties as assigned.
