About The Position

The Physician Liaison is a market-facing, data-driven growth leader responsible for strengthening and expanding referring provider relationships. This role blends relationship management with analytics—translating referral data, access metrics, and provider insights into targeted actions that improve referral loyalty, patient access, and market share. This is a field-based strategist role that uses data to prioritize effort, shape messaging, and drive measurable growth within a defined territory.

  • Experience collaborating with community relations and external partnerships (e.g., hospitals, local patient support groups, and other agencies).
  • Ability to assess and provide strategic input on modern technologies and their potential application.
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce.
  • Bachelor’s Degree Required (Preferred Marketing/Healthcare Related Degree)
  • 2-5 years of Physician Healthcare Experience (Preferred)
  • Must be able to sit or stand for long periods, with occasional walking.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Travel is required to and from multiple locations.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Representing the organization at trade shows and educational events, occasionally requires attendance during evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Own and grow referral volume across the assigned north Atlanta territory and demonstrate an increased share-of-referrals within existing accounts and new referral sources.
  • Identify high-value referring providers, leakage risks, and growth opportunities using internal and external data.
  • Translate data into clear and actionable territory plans aligned to organizational growth priorities that build and strengthen referral relationships (e.g., targeted outreach activities, educational events, access improvements)
  • Regularly cultivate high-value clinical and operational alignment meetings between referring providers and PCI professionals to enhance collaboration.
  • Maintain and update the referral "playbook" to outline best practices.
  • Gather insights into competitor activity, referral patterns, and provider needs for senior leadership
  • Identify emerging threats to referral loyalty and recommend countermeasures.
  • Provide strategic feedback to the Marketing Director/Sr. Leadership to contribute to execution of targeted growth initiatives.
  • Recognize that access performance is a primary driver of referral loyalty and act accordingly.
  • Identify friction points in PCI’s scheduling, communication, and care coordination systems.
  • Partner with operations to resolve issues and improve access to drive referring physician loyalty.
  • Collect, track, and report marketing and referral metrics by practice and location using the OncoEMR platform in a timely manner.
  • Provide structured updates and feedback to senior leadership.
  • Document and track all outreach activities and interactions in Salesforce in a timely manner.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of targeted growth initiatives aligned to referral and marketing strategies.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) through PCI analytics and liaison tools to assess patient growth, referral behavior, and regional market trends.
