UPMC Cole is a modern, progressive system centered around a 25-bed critical access hospital located on a large, well-maintained campus with a service area covering 55,000 people living in six counties in North Central Pennsylvania and Western New York. UPMC Cole owns and operates eleven primary care and eighteen specialty medical practices located in Coudersport and the counties that surround the hospital. CANDIDATES CAN EXPECT: Non-traditional schedule to promote work-life balance: two-week coverage rotation; requiring the physician to deliver services a total of 26 weeks per year J1 & H1B Visa Sponsorship Non-profit hospital employment, PSLF eligible Competitive base salary, with the opportunity to receive productivity and quality incentives Initial agreement 36-month term; will consider longer terms Signing bonus, retention bonus, or combination of both are negotiable Paid occurrence-based malpractice insurance Medical, dental and vision insurance Life and disability insurance Paid parental leave Robust retirement plans CME stipend Tuition assistance for self, dependent and/or spouse/domestic partner Customary and reasonable moving expenses
Requirements
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school
- Current Pennsylvania licensure, or eligibility to obtain licensure
- American Citizen or FMG
- Resident or Practicing Physician. Any experience level
- Commitment to providing high-quality, compassionate care to patients close to home
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Must have very good to excellent malpractice history with current coverage
- Must not have been a sanctioned party
- When on call, must immediately respond and be at the hospital immediately within 60 minutes
- BC/BE General Surgeon
- Must be qualified for a medical license in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
