About The Position
The Physician Assistant, or Nurse Practitioner, is a skilled member of the allied health care team who is qualified both academically and clinically to provide diagnostic and therapeutic services to patients under the supervision of a licensed physician. The Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner works within a cooperative unit, utilizing team effort with health care providers, co-workers, and the public to provide positive patient interaction. In this role, you will provide hospital support and rounding, ordering tests, and conducts pre-op and post-op care.
Requirements
- Master’s Degree in Nursing or Graduate of a nationally accredited Physician Assistant Program.
- Current State of Wisconsin Nurse License or Nurse Compact License, and Nurse Practitioner Licensure or Certification from the National Commission on Certifications of Physician Assistants.
- Current Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) License.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) within three months of hire.
Nice To Haves
- Two years nursing experience or one to two years’ experience in specialty.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) at time of hire.
