About The Position
Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner needed to assist our Trauma Surgeons at our growing Level II Trauma Facility in Augusta, Georgia. Qualified Candidates: We are recruiting for a full time advanced practitioner (PA or NP) that is comfortable with all aspects of Trauma. 2 years of PA/NP trauma and critical care experience preferred. Night time position, includes 3 12 hour shifts weekly with coverage of trauma/emergency general surgery patients, mostly hospital floor inpatient coverage. This position is a key team member of the trauma team, assisting the trauma surgeons in critical situations and ICU patient management while facilitating patient progression to discharge.
Requirements
- NP/PA GA license(unrestricted)
- ACLS
- BLS
- ATLS preferred

- comfortable working across disciplines to facilitate patient care
Responsibilities
- round on floor patients
- ICU patients (trauma only of course)
- responding to trauma resuscitations and assist with trauma consultations in the ED
- progress notes
- H & P
- respond to nursing's' phone calls
- write orders
