About The Position
Experienced Trauma/Orthopedic Physician Assistant (PA) needed for Johnson City Medical Center, a Level 1 Trauma Center. Johnson City Medical Center is the flagship hospital for Mountain States Health Alliance, a 14 hospital system located in Northeast Tennessee and Southwest Virginia. Outpatient Clinic Setting/ Operating Room/Inpatient Responsibilities
Requirements
- Experience with Upper Extremity/Hand
- Trauma: single and multi-extremity fracture management at a Level 1 Trauma Facility
Responsibilities
- Evaluates and treats new and chronic orthopedic problems
- Fracture management (reductions)
- Assists in surgery
- Casting and Splinting
- Pre- and Post-Operative care
- Injection therapy and joint aspirations
- Physical Therapy and Rehab
- Total Joint Arthroplasty
- Trauma: single and multi-extremity fracture management at a Level 1 Trauma Facility
- Arthroscopy, RTC/Labral Repair
- Experience with Upper Extremity/Hand
- Consults
- Inpatient service and ER admissions
- Medical record management and discharge summaries
- Emergency department and taking ED/Hospital/Trauma Call
