About The Position

Join our Reno Orthopedic Center team as a Physical Therapist! ROC offers dedicated, flexible ramp-up time, patient volume control, and protected documentation time (30 minutes per half day). Flexible schedules like 4/10s or two late evenings with three shorter days are available. Base pay is always guaranteed, with biannual performance bonuses that do not impact base pay. Growth opportunities include dedicated CME funds ($2,500 annually) for specialty certifications, conferences, and license renewals, opportunities to become a lead therapist, and an Orthopedic Residency Program. Student loan repayment funds ($10k), relocation assistance ($5k), and retention bonuses ($15k in some locations) are offered. New grads are welcome, and PT Compact privileges are accepted. The target caseload is 2 patients per hour (1:2), with flexibility. Epic GardenPlot is used as the EMR, with active work on AI dictation and scribing. New hires receive a named mentor. There are no productivity penalties for no-show appointments, and quick authorizations are handled by a dedicated therapy authorizations team. Requirements

• Active Nevada Physical Therapy license from Nevada State Board within 60 days of employment

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and carry out individually designed programs of physical treatment to maintain, improve, or restore physical functioning, alleviate pain, or prevent physical dysfunction in patients
• Review physician’s referral and patient’s medical records and confer with patient and appropriate medical practitioners to plan, implement, and assess the intervention program
• Identify and document goals, anticipated progress, and plans for reevaluation
• Test, measure and record in patient’s electronic medical record the patient’s strength, motor development, functional capacity, sensory perception, and respiratory and/or circulatory efficiency
• Analyze patient progress and data, record in electronic medical record and modify interventions to achieve anticipated goals and expected outcomes, including referring to other practitioners as needed
• Educate patients about injury prevention, ergonomics, and ways to promote health
• Instruct patient in use of assistive devices such as wheelchairs, walkers, crutches, and canes as well as in treatment procedures to be continued at home
• Discharge patient from physical therapy when goals or projected outcomes have been attained; provide for appropriate follow-up care or referrals
