Physical Therapist - Sports Specific Outpatient - Full-time
About The Position
We are seeking a Physical Therapist to be the face of our sports department at our amazing outpatient fitness center in Valencia Ca. This facility is 2nd to none and is part of a very prestigious hospital in Valencia. We took over a full, 2 story gym and turned it into a Physical Therapists dream. With 11 private rooms just for Pelvic, top of the line equipment, full functioning gym, swimming pool, indoor basketball/racquetball/pickleball courts: This is the facility you want to work at. The first floor is dedicated to our sports program. We have a dedicated gym, all the indoor athletic courts, and our indoor pool down there. If you are a PT that is passionate about working with athletes and building a program, this is the position and facility for you. Requirements
- Physical Therapist Licensure in good standing in California
- CPR and first aid certification required
- AHA BLS required.
- Current California license as a Physical Therapist
Nice To Haves
- CSCS and/or SCS preferred but not mandatory
Responsibilities
- Reviewing patients medical history
- Provide excellent 1:1 care for your patients, spending an average of 40 minutes with each person
- Diagnosing patients by observing their movements and listening to their concerns
- Developing individualized treatment plans for patients with clear goals and expected outcomes
- Using exercises, stretching, equipment, and hands-on manual therapy to manage patients’ pain, increase mobility, and prevent further pain and injury
- Recording patient progress and modifying the plan of care as needed
